Meeting/Event Information

NEW PLAN - We will start off at Cain's Ballroom, 423 N. Main St., at 11:00 a.m. to take a quick tour of the facility and see some of the "behind the scenes" areas like the Green Room where many artists have signed their names on the wall.   We will then head to Devon Energy at 222 N. Detroit Ave. for lunch.  During lunch, we will get to see part of the yet to be completed documentary, RaisinCain.  After lunch, our guest speaker, Tamara Logsdon Hawkinson, will discuss the history of Cain's Ballroom and share some pictures of the venue and artists who have performed there over the years.  Tamara's dad, Guy Logsdon, was very involved in the Oklahoma music scene and Tamara, a former Tulsa interior designer currently living in Scottsdale, Arizona, and now freelance journalist, is something of an expert on the history of Cain's Ballroom and is currently working on the documentary about the venue that we will be one of the first to preview

If you cannot arrive right at 11:00 a.m., you can still come to Cain's and join us prior to our group heading over to Devon for lunch around 11:35 p.m.  We plan to be at Devon around 11:45 a.m.  If you wish, you can go straight to Devon and join us there.  Call Brian at 918-407-3182 with any questions.

Parking is available in the Devon lot at 250 E. Cameron St.  Let the parking lot attendant know you are with IFMA Tulsa.  Park on levels 2 (P2) and up.  Then go to the lobby of the 222 North Detroit building on level P1.  Check-in with security who will send you to the second floor for the luncheon meeting.  You can park elsewhere for the Cain's tour and then walk or drive to Devon.  Whatever works best for you.
